Break the Silence 5k Walk

Description

Join us on Saturday, September 14th, for the 11th annual Break the Silence 5K walk (run, jog, or however you roll)! Our walk is to remember those lost to suicide, raise awareness of this public health issue, and promote local mental health resources. 

Registration to walk is FREE; unless with your registration you want to purchase a 2019 Break the Silence t-shirt featuring our new SPAN of North Idaho logo for $30.00. Of course, donations are always appreciated.

The Break the Silence walk launches at the beautiful Riverstone Park, and continues along the marked pathway to the turn-around sign located at the halfway point where water and snacks will be waiting to fuel you for your return to the starting point. Have no fear, the "Break the Silence" trail will be clearly marked so you won't get lost.  Upon your return to Riverstone Park, there will be plenty of water, light snacks, and music, music music to enjoy!

Visit the vendor tables between 8:30 am and 12:30 pm to aquaint yourself with the many local mental health wellness and crisis resources available to you in our community.
