Feel as if you are strolling the streets of the French Quarter in North Idaho. Sample New Orleans-style fare in a competition between seven local favorite restaurants. Enjoy a drink in our re-creation of the oldest pub in the US, the pirate's den, Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar. Experience a variety of street entertainment, live music, and artists in action in the famous Jackson Square. Bid on an artist-crafted mask in our silent auction. And enjoy traditional Beignets and Café au Lait in our little street cafe.

Some highlights this year include

• Drag Queen Show by Nova Kaine and The Gurlz.
• Caricaturist, Bill Edge, who has 40 years experience as an artist/illustrator.  
• Live music by Twisted Biscuit plus the entertaining Gumbo Brass Jazz Trio.

Tickets are $40 each and include all entertainment, food sampling from seven competing restaurants, a souvenir Mardi Gras pint glass and traditional Mardi Gras fun, including the crowning of the 2018 King and Queen of the Mardi Gras to be chosen during the evening, plus prizes for best costume and most spirited reveler. A prize for the one who finds the baby in the King Cake, and a door prize. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Beads and masks will be available for sale at the event.
