Founded in 1917, HDR is a 100-percent employee-owned engineering, architecture, and consulting firm. For more than 90 years, several generations of HDR employees have established a renowned reputation for excellent client service and innovative problem solving. With experience in transportation and environmental engineering, planning, environmental studies, architecture, and construction administration of urban and rural projects, HDR is well suited to quickly and efficiently perform a full spectrum of design, planning, and construction services.

HDR has built a strong reputation by providing top-notch services from our local offices. We have had a presence in Idaho since 1992, starting with a staff of just three, and today employing more than 70 staff in our offices in Coeur d?Alene, Boise, and Idaho Falls. They are backed by more than 7,800 employees nationwide. The company is structured to enable local experts to manage Idaho projects, supported by the resources of a national firm.

HDR designed a low-cost retrofit that will help the City of Coeur d'Alene meet its effluent ammonia nitrogen limit during the summer permit season and defer extensive capital improvements to later years.
HDR designed and provided construction oversight as well as operation support for the Low Phosphorus Demonstration Pilot Facility at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.  The City of Coeur d'Alene's investment in this pilot facility is expected to lead to substantial cost savings in implementing the facilities needed for future permit requirements.
HDR designed and provided construction oversight for the Administration/Laboratory Building and Collections Maintenance Garage at the Coeur d'Alene Wastewater Treatment Plant.
HDR provided construction engineering and inspection services for US-95 Setters to Bellgrove.

Since 1999, HDR has been helping the City of Coeur d'Alene develop and implement its wastewater treatment strategies, including what could become the lowest effluent phosphorus discharge limits in the country.
