The Annual CDA Regional Chamber's Natural Resources Committee-sponsored Osprey Cruise is Saturday, July 11th from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Boarding starts at 8:30 am. This annual event is a favorite of young and old participants. Limited to 150 persons, the wildlife viewing is guaranteed to be up close and personal with not only the area's iconic migratory fish-eating hawk, but often resident eagles, cormorants, geese, ducks, and more. Wildlife experts and habitat specialists provide narrative explanations of the hawks' life cycle and nesting and roosting habits and characteristics, using actual mounts for people to see and touch, from the birds, to eggs of different species, talons, and more. Other environmental authorities, authors, and historians participate, including from the Tribe and local, state, and federal over 65 agencies. The cruise is courtesy of Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises, Hagadone Corp.
