Description

Forum 2 Topic: The Escalating Threat of Fentanyl in North Idaho
Join us for a vital community conversation on the escalating threat of Fentanyl in North Idaho. This event will shed light on the alarming data showcasing the widespread impact of this deadly drug across our state. From rising overdose rates to the devastating toll on families and communities, the urgency of addressing the crisis cannot be overstated.

Our panelists will discuss the comprehensive efforts being undertaken at the national, state and local levels to combat the Fentanyl epidemic. From law enforcement initiatives to public health interventions, learn about the multifaceted approach being employed to tackle this urgent issue head-on. Moreover, we will explore how the business community, education sector, and citizens can play a crucial role in supporting these efforts to safeguard our community. From promoting drug education and prevention programs to implementing workplace policies that address substance abuse, businesses and community members have a unique opportunity to contribute to the collective effort in keeping our community safe.

Desired Outcomes:
  • Increased Awareness: We aim to raise awareness about significant issues impacting our community, ensuring that residents are well-informed and empowered to participate in decision-making processes.
  • Collaborative Solutions: Through collaborative discussions and idea-sharing, we seek to develop actionable solutions and initiatives that address identified challenges and improve the quality of life for everyone in our community.
