About Us

Specialized Needs Recreation (SNR) is a non-profit organization in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, that provides social and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities and special needs. SNR aims to create engaging and inclusive environments for individuals of all abilities, focusing on social interaction, personal growth, and community connection. The organization offers various programs, including weekday Life Group, Wednesday Evening Group, Camp All Stars, and year-round activities. SNR serves people with disabilities ages 8 and up from all North Idaho Counties.

SNR was established in 1984 by a group of parents seeking recreational opportunities for their children with disabilities.

SNR's mission is to provide engaging and enriching recreational experiences for individuals of all abilities, fostering personal growth and community inclusion.

SNR's programs help participants develop social skills, build self-esteem, and create lasting friendships. The organization also strives to increase community awareness and acceptance of individuals with disabilities.

SNR is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, relying on donations and grants to fund its programs.
