Safe Start

We believe every child deserves to celebrate their first birthday and beyond, free from unintentional death and injury due to unsafe sleep or from being unrestrained or not restrained properly in their car seat. Safe Start is the education and training program of our parent organization, Northwest Infant Survival & SIDS Alliance, a 501(c)3 founded in 1961. Safe Start provides evidence-based, no-cost educational classes and professional training to parents, caregivers, first responders and medical professionals with a primary focus on infant sleep and child passenger safety. We also provide life-saving education and new car seats and portable cribs to families in need.
